Margarita

My name is Margarita and I’m a real cocktail . I was born in Brazil, my father is German and my mother is from Ecuador. I honour and admire my parents so much.
I am married to David and together as co-producers with God, we have three little girls! I want to thank David for his love, his support and his creativity for this web site. Without him I would never be able to work so freely in this ministry!
One might ask, “So where does this passion for oriental dance come from?” Since my father is an engineer, we lived in Saudi Arabia where I discovered the world of oriental dance at the age of 5. Later I continued training in classical dance in Germany while at the same time taking classes in modern-jazz and flamenco. But it was the freedom of expression in oriental dance that touched me most. I continued my training under the instruction of such well known oriental dancers as Raqia Hassan, Mahmoud Reda, Momo Kadous, Nagwa Fouad, Dina, and more.

I have been working as a psychologist, oriental dancer, choreographer and international professor since 1999. (in Germany, France, Switzerland, Finland, Egypt, Greece, Russia…). I also taught at the University of Nanterre while continuing my studies in dance therapy.
My greatest passion for the past 8 years has been to teach and run workshops and to dance in the Christian milieu. (Protestant, Catholic, Evangelical…). In 2009 I founded the Simra dance company, a place where we give and receive; a place of joy!

I am so amazed to see how God uses this dance form to set women free in their spirit, soul and body! Everything I do, I do for God’s glory! Isaiah 61 is a verse that refreshes and fills me again and again!
